The Hungarian Technical Scientific Society of Transylvania, together with its Hungarian affiliate organizations, organizes every year the Hevesy György (VII-VIII graders) and Irinyi János (IX-XI graders) Chemistry Competitions. Both events are in fact official competitions in Hungary, Transylvania is an external participant. The competition is organized on three levels: local and regional levels, while the best four, respectively six students are entitled to participate at the finals in Hungary.
