At the initiative of the Geodesy Department, organized in 2000 by the Oradea Branch of the Hungarian Tehnical Scientific Society of Transylvania, the Geodesy Convention became a yearly international meeting. Through this conference, we wish to foster the creation of professional affiliations, to monitor the constantly evolving requirements in this field, and to contribute to the information exchange between Romanian and foreign specialists. Apart from auditing geodesy presentations, participants can also get acquainted with companies and various products exhibited at the conference. Since 2008, this conference has acquired a professional ranking from the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers.
